Data on your device
Your progress, settings and your player name (if you enter one) stay on your device; we never receive them. Deleting the app removes this data from the device. There is one exception on iPhone: the number of trial sessions already used remains stored in the keychain. These are five numbers with no link to you as a person, so the trial does not start over after a reinstall. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (Germany): this storage is strictly necessary for the app you use.
iPhone: iCloud
If iCloud is turned on, the app also keeps your progress, records and the number of used trials in your own iCloud account with Apple so they carry over to a new iPhone. We have no access to it. Apple’s privacy policy applies. You can delete the iCloud copy in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Android: backup
If Android backup is turned on, Android may back up the app data to your own Google account so it carries over to a new phone. The app also keeps the number of used trials in the Block Store of Google Play services on your phone so it survives a reinstall. If your phone has a screen lock and backup is on, it goes end-to-end encrypted to your Google account. We have no access to it. Google’s privacy policy applies.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. No data is sent to any server.
Purchases
Buying Dardo Pro is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive payment data or your name. We only see sales figures, for example which country a purchase came from.
Sharing
If you share a result, you choose the app and the recipients.
Ratings
Now and then the app uses Apple’s or Google’s window to ask whether you would like to rate it. We do not learn whether it appeared or what you chose. A rating you submit is public in the store.
Emailing support
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail). Google may also process the data in the USA, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We delete your emails no later than 12 months after your request is settled, unless a law requires us to keep them longer.
This website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). When you open it, GitHub stores your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We use no cookies, no fonts from other servers and no analytics. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. Email dardo.support@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the LfD Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony, Germany).
Children
Dardo does not collect data from children either.
